Hannah's 3rd Birthday party

We were up in Utah for a week. I really needed that. A couple major events happened while we were up there. Brad took the 2nd board exam on Hannah's Birthday, August 1st and we had a big puppy party for Hannah. We think both went well. Brad won't get his score for 6 weeks. Hannah has a puppy obsession right now. She acts like a dog and is ALWAYS carrying around the puppy of the day. She has so many of them and plays with ALL of her doggies.
Here are some of the highlights of the party.
Hannah sat there with such a serious face the whole time we sang to her. It was funny.

This dollhouse was mine when I was younger. My parents fixed it up for Hannah and got new furniture for it. Both the kids play with it everyday! It was an awesome gift!

So that about sums up the party.
While we were up in Utah we went to the zoo. The kids were so funny the whole day...kind of cranky, actually. But they talk about the trip to the zoo all the time. They are funny. I couldn't get the Zoo pictures to upload. I'll have to try another time.
Brad has been working at the Pediatric ICU this month and has been really busy with that. He has to work five 30 hour shifts while there. It's a pretty crazy one but I think it'll give him some good experience.
I got released from Young Women and got called to be the nursery leader. It's a rough calling but I know I'll grow to love it and love all those little kids. Right now we're just trying to figure out a good schedule.
I have been keeping REALLY busy with my bow business. Honestly, I had no idea it would get to this point. I sell so much on Etsy that it's tough to keep up with my Quilted Bear booth.

The last 4 months

I say this every time I post but I'm officially the worst blogger ever. I used to be so good but life is just BUSY! I have been super busy with my bow business lately! It's been going so well. I'm selling at the Quilted Bear and on Etsy.com and both are really going well! I make bows for several hours a day and I never tire of it. It's just such a fun hobby/job!!!
This week I have just been in shock over how big my kids are getting. Hannah will be three in August...wasn't she just born? Gosh. I can't believe it!

The kids have become best friends lately. I never have to entertain them. They are always playing and laughing together (with a little fighting here and there). They love to pretend to camp, pretend to be puppies and play house together.

Preston loves to play the Wii. One morning he was playing and said "Mommy, look! I won!" Sure enough...that's the highest score we've ever seen on our Wii!! Brad and I were shocked!!! Not sure how he pulled that one off! But he was quite happy about it!

We went to Disneyland in February, I believe it was. It was so fun to go as a family and spend time together. Preston loved staying at the hotel. I think that may have been his favorite part!! Ha ha.

It was really hard to get a good picture of the kids at Easter. They keep making cheesy faces!! But, their cheesy faces are pretty cute too! Grandma and Grandpa Clark were able to visit us for Easter. It was fun to have them. Hannah was very attached to Grandpa!
Grandma and Grandpa Wang sent the kids each a book for Easter. They really liked them. Books are always a good gift! Hannah's was a puppy book, which is her favorite thing right now and Preston's was a book where you had to find the bunny on all the pages.

My kids have been extremely picky eaters lately but I've found that if I make the food FUN then they are more likely to eat it. It takes a little more effort but they're eating! Here is an example...Monkey Pancakes!!!

Brad turned 30 on May 25th. I had been keeping his suprise party a secret for a looong time! We have 5 of the 7 siblings and his parents present at the party. I think we had 13 kids here at one point! It was kinda crazy but tons of fun!! I'm so glad they were able to keep it a secret and really suprise Brad! We went to the pool, ate yummy food and spent time together. Brad's sister, Melissa came for a whole week with our new niece, Kinley. It was so fun to have her here and get to know my baby niece!! She is so cute and snuggly. Makes me want more babies!! Hannah LOVED baby "Kinwey". She told me Kinley is her best pal. So cute.

OH! I can't forget! I had so many bow sales in April that we were able to buy new couches!!! We absolutely love them! Let's just hope we can keep them nice!!!

Sooooo....it's been over three months since I've blogged. I really need to catch up! Let's see...some of the major events were:
Preston turned four! He thinks he's SO big now. He got to have two birthday celebrations..one ON his birthday at home with us and one up in Utah. He sure got a lot of fun stuff. His favorite was his Geotrax airplane set.

Christmas was so fun this year! The kids just had so much fun! Brad was more excited than anyone to get up and open presents. He heard Preston's bed squeak and jumped up out of the bed and said "YESSSSSS!" because he was so excited that they were finally waking up! We were both up early just waiting for the kids to wake up! Ha ha!
We tried really hard to help the kids understand the true meaning of Christmas this year. We picked a family and did a little secret Santa thing and it was so fun!! Hannah got this big stuffed horse and it was her favorite, I think. They got a special present outside from Mommy and Daddy. Mommy waited in line for HOURS at Toys R Us the night of Thanksgiving and got the last playhouse they had at that price! PHEW!

Well, that's just a little bit. I'll have to add more tomorrow. I have A LOT of catching up to do!

OK, I know I have been horrible at blogging and you've all probably given up on even looking at our blog. I have just been super busy and I have so much to blog about it's kind of overwhelming. I have been making a lot of hairbows and I now sell them at the Quilted Bear in Provo. So far sales have been awesome! I'm quite happy with how it's going.
Brad has been doing his rotations and is enjoying that. He just started a pediatric rotation today. We'll see how it likes it cause that's what he originally wanted to go in to.
Nothing TOO exciting has happened since our California trip. Just same old stuff. Hannah is potty trained...don't know if I mentioned that previously.
We had a fun Halloween. The kids were Jesse and Woody from Toy Story and they looked super cute and had tons of fun. I love making their costumes for Halloween. It's really a fun thing for me.
I am going to try to be better at blogging. This is my journal afterall.

Bad blogger

I am so bad lately with blogging. I'm trying to do better. We have done a lot of things since I posted last.
Brad finished the board exams and got his score today and he passed one of them. Phew! Good job Bradley! We knew you could!
After tests were over we went to California for a week and had a great time! It was so nice to be able to go and not worry about anything but having fun and boy did we ever!
We went to Newport Beach for a day (well a couple hours) the kids didn't like it at all. They started to like it a little at the end but they were pretty freaked out by their first beach experience. The pic says it all. She was booking it from the wave. Preston just wanted to hang out on the blanket and not even touch the sand...silly kids. They did finally warm up to the idea...a little bit.

Then we spent two days at Disneyland and California Adventure. What a blast that was!!! It was so fun to see the kids so happy and so excited to meet their favorite characters! Hannah loves the princesses!! We were first in line to meet Belle, Ariel and Tiana. Preston loved it too. There is nothing greater than seeing their happy faces! Meeting the characters was their favorite. Preston loved meeting Mickey, Lightening McQueen and Woody. He was just beside himself over McQueen, as you can see by the picture!

These are just some of the highlights. It was the best vacation ever! We also went to a little zoo but it was sooooo hot we didn't stay long. The kids were terrified of the goats in the petting zoo for some reason. It was kinda funny.
We're back home now enjoying some time together. We're headed up to Utah for five days on Friday to celebrate Hannah's birthday and for a Pioneer Day visit.

Better later than never

So, I know it's been like 2 months since I blogged. I don't know why, I just lost interest in blogging for a while. Anyway, I'm back.
This has been a really long couple of months. My brother, Matt, moved back in with my parents. He found out shortly after moving back that he has testicular cancer. Now, I wouldn't wish cancer on anyone but we're really glad it's a treatable form of cancer. He has had two surgeries and will start chemo when his incision heals.
Brad has been soooo busy studying. Need I say more? No husband=sad wife. The only thing that keeps me going and loving and supporting him is knowing that there IS an end. What's a few more years anyway, right? Phew. We'll make it.
Hannah has been cutting teeth and hasn't been the happiest camper ever. She sure is adorable. She talks so much now! Her most common words are "puppy" and "guck" (stuck). You could ask her any question and her response would be "yeah". It's so funny. Preston will ask her "Is it good, Hannah?" Hannah-"yeah" Preston-"Are you having fun, Hannah?" Hannah- "yeah" Preston-"Do you want to go outside, Hannah?" Hannah-"yeah" You get the picture. She's super cute with her please and thank you's. Whenever I give her something she says "elcome, Mommy" Love her. She walks around on her tippy toes all the time too. We aren't sure why she does that but it is so funny! Makes her look so dainty all the time. Always on her toes. She loves babies and puppies more than anything.
Preston is such a handsome little man. He is super smart too. He's going through some fun phases. Most importantly...he's finally potty trained!!!!! 100%! My friend, Mel told me I should put him in a cold shower if he poops his pants. It killed me...but it only took one shower and he was done doing that! Hasn't had an accident since! Preston loves to trace things. He traces his name very well now. We've been practicing. He loves to paint, color and do constructive things. He also loves to play the Wii. Brad got it for his birthday and Preston gets more use out of it than he does. He loves to play Candyland too, although it doesn't last a full game and he only likes to get the picture cards. Preston is so much like his Dad and has so much character. He's always laughing and smiling. Love that kid.
I have just been trying to keep busy to keep my mind off of being husbandless. I see now how easy it is for medical students to get divorced. NO that is not even on my mind. I could just see how difficult it is for a family. We are doing fine and would never even consider that.
My bow business is starting to get better. I sure have fun doing that. I like doing constructive, crafty things so this is a good outlet for me. I never get bored of making bows...each one is different and unique and I like that. Still a counselor in Young Women and I've been enjoying that. Still love taking pictures. Just got a new camera and I'm loving that.
My birthday is on Wednesday. Sheesh. 31? Really? Where has time gone?
Brad takes the board exams on July 2nd and July 8th. Boy will we ALL be glad when that's over!!! We are planning a trip to Disneyland for the week after that and boy will we need it BADLY! It'll just be nice to be a family again!

Yes, we're crazy and took the kids to the pool today! I got Hannah's swimsuit in the mail and wanted to try it on her. Hannah loved it! She kept saying "pretty pretty" and running around. So, Preston decided he needed his on too. So, he went up and got it and we put it on for him. Then he insisted on going swimming. So, we figured we would just let them play on the steps. They had so much fun! It was pretty cold but it really didn't phase them much. I'm sure it would have if they were all the way in. Hannah was kicking her feet and squealing. Preston played with his watering can the whole time. We only stayed for about 20 minutes.
I have to add that I looked at like every swimsuit online. I wanted Hannah to have the cutest suit!! I found this on at Sears of all places and I think it just looks super cute on her and it was only $8!!
Hannah looked so stinkin' cute in that new swimsuit of hers. She just melts my heart.
Also added some pictures from the baseball game we went to last week. Brad's singing group from school, "Docappella" sang the national anthem there so we all went. It was pretty fun. We were cold though. It was kind of a cold windy night. But we had fun. Preston still talks about it and about the guy that fell down. Ha ha. That's what he remembers from the game, I guess.

Slacking

I've been slacking on the blogging thing lately. I'm working really hard with the little free time I do have to get my bow business moving a little more.
We had a busy week last week. We went up to Utah to visit and to do a bridal shower for my sister in law and I took her bridal pictures as well. I enjoyed visiting. It just always goes by so fast when we're there.
I enjoyed conference weekend so much. I love chilling out with my family and feeling the spirit as we hear the wonderful messages. I have really enjoyed Elder Holland's talks the last couple conferences. He is such a powerful speaker. They all are, really.
Brad had all last week off and then had mon-weds off this week. Super nice to spend time with him and the family.
The kids really enjoyed Easter this year. They loved hunting for eggs. They had to open them all right away to see what was inside. They've had so much sugar lately!!
We went to an Easter egg hunt and had one in the backyard. They liked it so much the first time I did it again for them.
I dressed them up on Easter even though we didn't have to go to church. I just wanted some in their outfits. I love dressing my kids up so much! Hannah was such a little princess and she KNOWS when she looks cute. Preston always looks so handsome when dressed up with his glasses and hair done. I have cute kids. I know that.
Brad is busy studying for the board exams that are in July. I can't imagine all the work he has to do to get ready for that.
I'm busy with bows, young women and being a mom. I love being busy. I have been pretty tired lately though.
Hannah talks so much now! I love hearing what she says. This morning she was walking around the house saying "Daddy go?" (where did daddy go?) She knew he had been around for a week or so and was confused as to why he wasn't here this morning. She LOVES puppies and talks about them ALL the time. She got a barking puppy from Grandma Tina for Easter. It's her favorite toy.
Preston says the funniest things. One of our recent favorites is that Brad did a Family Home Evening Lesson on Easter and the resurrection. He showed pictures of Jesus on the cross and we talked about how he died and everything. At the end he asked Preston "So how did Jesus die?" Preston responded with "He crossed the street" HA HA. Guess that one didn't sink in...not that we were expecting it to.
I love being a mom. I love my husband. I love the gospel. I love my life.

Priceless pics of the kids loving each other. I love those very rare moments. I actually got Preston to give Hannah a hug, although it looks like he's ready to choke her and he put his arm around her and Hannah thought that was funny.
Hannah decided to eat dirt out of the flower pot today. She didn't like it but when she saw herself in the mirror she thought it was pretty funny. After I cleaned her up she found some water outside to play in and got all wet then I turned around and she had two rocks in her mouth. Oh that girl!!!

The kids have been really restless lately and we've been to the park a lot. We went to this park in Boulder City today. They have a duck pond and Hannah is obsessed with any animal right now. They had so much fun. Hannah was squealing. I wish I had the video camera with me, but these pictures will have to do. Then we went to DQ to get some lunch and ice cream. While we were there, for the first time EVER Preston actually TOLD me he had to go potty. I usually have to guess and just run him there. He went right in and went! Making progress! Thought these pictures turned out so cute. They are getting so big! I love the pic of them holding hands. The pictures I get of them together they are usually hitting each other and grumpy. So, I'm happy to get a good one of them HAPPY TOGETHER.

Preston's prayer

"Our Father. Thank you blessing, two blessings. Thank you two mommies, two daddy's, two Hannah's, two Preston's. Thank you two temples. Two happies. Thank you two Grandmas, two house, two Grandpas." *(Brad was helping him and he added two to everything. So, Brad said "bless us to be good and stay in our bed") He said "I get out of my bed. Thank you two Jesus. *(at this point we were laughing because instead of two beds he said "I get out of my bed." but everything else was "two".)* He was cracking us up. Don't know why he added "two" to everything but we sure got a kick out of it. Bless his little heart. Every night when we say "who is going to say the prayer" Preston always says "ME!!". He loves to say it. I need to record more of what he says. It's so cute.
Today we were out running errands and I had to run into the beauty supply store to get some clips for an upcoming craft show and they were out of the clips. So, as we were walking out of the store he said "Mommy, is this store broken?" I said "Well pal, they didn't have what I needed." He so "Ooooh. OK. (giving me thumbs up) You Rock Momma!" He cracks me up!!

I just printed the pattern onto cardstock and cut them out. You just fold it and glue it together. Then, I had a whole bunch of flowers and stuff from my hairbow stuff and I just embellished them with those. I'm glad you all like them! The girls did love them as well.

I couldn't upload this to Facebook so I'll put it on here. I can't take full credit for this. My friend told me about this handout she had seen and I loved it. The lesson is on the worth of souls. So, there is a quote inside that says "The worth of "Soles" is Great." Then, my personal touch, fruit by the foot! I think they turned out pretty cute. I purposely made them all different to symbolize that we are all different and we all have different talents and gifts. What do you think?

Gosh I love my kids but when it comes to making dinner why can't they stop torturing me and just let me cook!?!? Ha ha ha. They just don't like it when I'm cooking and not playing with them. Yesterday I was just trying to chop some potatoes and Hannah was pushing me away from the counter and crying, Preston got out all the pots and pans and started banging around. Then he moved on to the refrigerator door and started slamming it and the pantry door. I couldn't go anywhere without stepping on a kid or a pan. This picture doesn't do the madness any justice but just to give you an idea. Don't you love Preston in his undies and cowboy boots?? Classic.
Preston is in Sunbeams now. On Sunday we were asking him what they talked about in his class. He said that Santa gives presents but Jesus does too. I thought that was so cute and I had to post it. I talked to his teacher, who is also my friend and she said they talked about their bodies being a gift. So, I guess that ties into his lesson...a little. Super cute. Then later that day he sighed and said "I wuv Jesus Mommy" Love that kid.
These pictures were just too good for me not to post them. Preston in his undies, car slippers and sunglasses. What a cool dude! He LOVES these slippers. He wants them on all the time. He sleeps in them too. He and Hannah got those sunglasses from their Grandma Tina last year and they LOVE them. Hannah's didn't fit very well last year but she and Preston wear them all the time now. I don't think he put his real glasses on all day yesterday. He just wanted his "cool glasses" on.

What the!?

Brad went to get Preston out of bed from his nap and this is what he found. Sometimes he'll pick his nose so hard it bleeds. Disgusting isn't it? We're not positive that's what happened but that's what we think. When Brad brought him down he said "I think Preston got in a fight with his doggie" Ha ha ha.
I forgot to mention in previous posts that I recently got released from the Primary Presidency and got called into the Young Women's Presidency and I am really excited to work with the youth and go to camp etc. Should be fun!!

Random thoughts

Today at the park. It has been pretty warm here...around 60 degrees. The kids love getting outside.

Potty partners. We had to get a second potty so they both could go. Preston has really been doing well. No accidents today so far! Go Preston!!

The kids at the Gateway Children's Museum. I wish I got a picture with Matt too, he went with us but I didn't. The kids had a blast. Poor Hannah had a booger nose!

I don't know why I have such a weird look on my face. Hannah just wasn't feeling well the week of Christmas. She just wanted to snuggle. Isn't she cute?

Potty Progress

I think I posted before that while trying to potty train Preston, Hannah decided she wanted to go. Well lately she has really wanted to go. She's gone on the potty several times. Today she went twice and she got a treat both times. She got M & M's one time and boy did that make Preston mad!! He decided right then that he was going to go. So he sat on the potty for a little while and he got some too! After that he kept wanting to go. We set the timer for every 20 minutes and every time he sat down he went!!!!! So I just kept giving him M & M's and he was so happy!!! FINALLY some progress! The timer really helped because he could go play for a little bit and then when the bell went off he knew it was time to sit on the potty again! So, I'm officially training BOTH kids. Should be lots of fun! (right)

Christmas

Ok, I am so behind. I don't know why I haven't had much of a desire to blog lately. I'm trying to catch up!! Poor little Hannah had a rough Christmas. She pretty much cried all morning. She was so sad. We thought she was just getting teeth. She had 2 molars and one other tooth coming in. Poor thing. Well, Christmas night she didn't sleep at all! She sounded so hoarse and really could barely cry. She was so sad. I couldn't take it anymore and we decided to take her to the ER. She had croup. The poor little thing was just miserable. They gave her steroids and 2 breathing treatments and she was feeling much better.
It really was a busy busy week with Preston's party, Clark family parties, 2 photoshoots and Christmas. But we had a lot of fun with our families.
As always, my kids were completely spoiled by their grandparents! Grandma Tina got them a play kitchen that they've really enjoyed playing with.
It was so fun that Preston understood what was going on this year and loved opening presents and he sure had a lot to open with a Christmas birthday too.

A much needed update

I haven't posted in a while. I am so behind! I'll start with Preston's birthday and when I get time I'll catch up some more. Preston turned three years old on December 19th. I can't believe time has gone by that fast! It just seems like yesterday I was having him. He requested a train cake and a train cake he got!! I am so proud of the way his cake turned out. I'm not a pro but I loved his cake and so did he!

Santa train

Today we got to go to Boulder City and go on the Santa train ride. Thank you to our friends for giving us their tickets. Preston loved it. Hannah was struggling a bit but she was OK, she just wanted to get down and walk. Preston always get really shy around Santa but he doesn't cry and is not scared. On the way home Preston kept saying "So fun!" It got me in the Christmas spirit!
Brad finished his finals yesterday and he did really well. He said he did better this block week than the last. Glad the stressful week is over and we have time with him. I even got to be a WIFE rather than a mother last night. Brad arranged for his friend to come over after the kids went to bed so that he and I could go out. We went and shared a meal at the Cheesecake Factory, my very favorite restaurant!! Yum. I love going out with Brad. We really need to do it more often...if only time would allow.

Bargain shopping....again

I just have to brag again. Today was Macy's 1 day sale. All of the clearance was an additional 1/2 off and they had a coupon for $10 off $25 purchase. I got all of this stuff for a total of $16.67!!!! My kids need clothes soooo bad and I'm so thrilled with my find. On my receipt it said total savings: $62.44!!! WOO HOO! Not bad eh?

Bragging rights and spaghetti faces

I first must brag about my grocery trip today. I had been saving up Kelloggs coupons and I found a bunch more. Today Smiths had Kelloggs cereal and Keebler stuff on sale for half off. It totaled $140 in value. With my coupons and the sale I only paid $42.65!! Woo hoo! I just get the biggest high over a good bargain! I saved $97 bucks!!! One might think I'm crazy for buying so much cereal but we eat it and I saved and stocked up! I don't usually do crazy things like this but it seemed worth it to me in the long run.

I must also add that Hannah is one of the messiest children I have ever seen! Preston does not like his hands to be dirty and he always wants me to wash them off but Hannah digs right in! On this particular night we had lasagna and she loved it! Can you tell? Cute little thing. After dinner Brad said "I'll get Preston if you get Hannah." Fair trade? NOT!

Santa

A sporting goods store here in LV has a pretty cool WinterWonderland thing. We went last week with the kids and they had fun. I think they were both tired but Preston was so excited to see Santa. When he got up there he was so quiet and didn't tell Santa what he wanted. So, Mommy helped tell Santa he wanted a train for Christmas. I'm pretty excited about Christmas this year because Preston actually understands whats going on. Well, for the most part. Hannah started saying "Santa" too. It's so cute how excited she gets when she says it. She's saying so many new words now. It's so cute. Preston learns new words daily. I love hearing them say new words. It's so cute.
I went shopping on black friday and finished my shopping for this Christmas. Gotta love that! We might get a few more little things for the kids, if we can. It feels good to be done though. I got up at 4 a.m. and headed out to Walmart which was kinda crazy but I love doing it. I went by myself this year which was kinda weird but I still liked it...especially not having cranky kids like I usually do when I'm out shopping!

Since we started potty training Preston, Hannah has been so interested in it. A couple days ago she wanted to sit on it so we thought why not? We took her diaper off and she sat down and totally went!! We were shocked! We gave her a potty prize and made a big deal about it. Preston didn't know what to think because Hannah was getting one of his potty prizes! But, he clapped for her and said "Yay Hannah!" Preston is still working on it. He's got a Hot Wheels car waiting for him on the mantle for when he does go.
Hannah has been so adorable lately. She LOVES playing with babies. This morning she was feeding the baby and giving it kisses. I had to take pictures.

Preston is NOT fully potty trained. He went twice in one night but hasn't gone again. He fights sitting on the potty. He is a busy boy...sit still he does NOT! BUT we are headed in the right direction. He's a good boy and he'll get it soon I'm sure. He kept getting out of bed so I gave him the option of being a big boy or a baby like Hannah. Oddly enough he chose to be a baby. ha ha ha. My plan didn't work. So, his bed is a crib again. He doesn't seem to mind and I sure don't mind that he stays in bed. Baby steps.

Preston went on the potty tonight. He actually sat on the little potty for almost an hour. He was watching a video on my phone that I took of him riding a scooter at Toys R Us. He kept saying "wanna bring home". Originally I had told him he had to ask Santa for that. I blurted out that if he went on the potty we would bring home the scooter...I kid you not, it was within a minute and he went!! So, I'm eating my words now. Brad said "couldn't you have promised a candy bar or something?" Well, I have tried everything to bribe him and it doesn't work. I really didn't think before I opened my mouth so here we are.
So tonight we made his crib into a toddler bed and of course made a HUGE deal about him going. He had to wait up for Brad to get home so he could show him! So, Brad is upstairs laying down with him, hoping he'll go to sleep. It's just been a big fun party tonight. He was so happy and kept saying "YES! I did it!" Super cute. He will not stay in his bed, I'm sure of that. He's never slept with a pillow before either. We gave him one of our pillows and tucked him in. It's pretty cute.
I really have tried so many times and he'll just sit and sit on that potty and then as soon as I put the diaper back on, he would go in the diaper.
Well, tonight he finally went in the potty! THEN about 20 minutes later he ran over to the potty and went again, all by himself! He kept jumping up and down again saying "YES! I did it!" Do I think he totally trained? Probably not. But, this is a big start and we're so proud of him! Yes! He did it!

I have been wanting to post for a while, I just haven't sat down long enough to do it. We carved pumpkins tonight. Preston wasn't all that into it and Hannah went to bed. So, Brad and I went to it. Here's what they look like!! Pretty cool huh? We're pretty proud of our work.

So, I LOVE these pictures of Preston. That boy just makes me smile! Both of my kids do. He has been so funny lately. He has so much personality. He is soooo just like his Dad! I have a lot more pictures I want to post on here, more of Hannah too. Just can't find my other memory card right now. So...more to come.
At the craft show I did there was a girl that was selling these little ties that she made. Aren't they cute? I wanted to buy them all!! If anyone wants one, I have her contact info. They were super duper cute and he looks so handsome in it.

My Mom has been here all week. The kids love when she comes. Hannah keeps bringing her books to read. She just wants to read book after book with Grandma. It's pretty cute. Preston loves getting spoiled...who wouldn't? She buys him the stuff Mommy won't get for him. He has to be a good boy to get the prizes though. He loves Grandma's cane. He could play with it all day.
Hannah is walking all over the place lately. We have had the hardest time finding shoes that will stay on her fat little feet. We finally found a pair that we thought were working. Well, they came off too. So, we ventured out to the outlet mall to try Stride Rite shoes. THEY WORKED! YAY! They are really cute too. Preston got new shoes with lights on them. He jumps all over the place so that the lights come on. He even slept in them for his nap today...he insisted! What a silly boy.

The craft show went really well!! I really made so many bows and I think it helped to have a big variety to pick from. There is another one next weekend and the booth rent is only $10. Really? Can I lose? It's a halloween carnival at a rest home. I don't know...I would probably sell some more. But a rest home? I don't know. I'll ask more questions, I guess. They said people of all ages come it it. For ten bucks, I really can't lose, I guess.
Anyway, I sold a lot and I'm happy. I do have a lot more if anyone needs any hairbows. I'll be posting more on my blog as soon as I get pics. Thanks for all the well wishes. I'm glad I did it. It was a good experience. Weird to be without the kids all day. I've never done that and I missed my little munchkins! They were there with me for a few minutes, hence Hannah in the picture. We didn't get a really good picture of the whole booth for some reason. Oh well...next time!

Craft Show

Well, the craft show is on Saturday. It's 1 a.m. Friday morning (Thursday night)right now and I'm up pricing my products. I'm very excited and nervous all at the same time. I think my stuff is cute...I hope everyone else does too. I was going to post pictures of my booth set up in my dining room but I'll wait until it's completely finished for the full effect. It turned out better than even I thought it would look!! I should probably get to bed. I just have a lot on my mind. I keep thinking of things to do. It's nice to get them done without children at my feet. Wish me luck!!!

I did this last night while we watched TV. The only thing I bought was the leaves, I had the scrap material. I think it turned out pretty cute! I love fall decorations...I just don't have enough of them. This project only cost me a dollar!

Preston painted a pumpkin today. He loved doing it. Ever since he learned how to say pumpkin a few weeks ago he has been obsessed. He kept wanted this pumpkin down off the piano but it is glass so we went and got some plastic pumpkins and these to have some fun with. He was so excited!

Last but not least...this is my dream craft. I really want to make this for Hannah for Christmas. I've been talking to my Dad about it and we think we can do it. We'll see what happens.

I keep taking on new things. I got the idea that I wanted to make the kids trick or treat bags. I didn't want to buy much for it. So, I was looking through what I had and I had a pair of Brad's old jeans in with my fabric. So, this is what I came up with. Don't look too close at the stitches!!! I am not a seamtress by any means. But, I think they turned out cute. I bought the pumpkin and spider. They are iron ons but everything else I came up with. Not bad, right?

We went to the outlet mall on Monday and found some great deals. Preston and Hannah got these cute Jammies from the Children's Place. They were only. 99 cents each! I think they look so cute in them. A little too hot for them right now but I had to take a picture.

I haven't blogged in a while. Maybe because I just don't want to bore anyone with my bow stories. Hairbows have consumed my life lately. Every day at nap time, I make bows. As soon as the kids go to bed, I make bows. I don't do it much when they are awake because they just want to "help" me. It doesn't work out very well. I have nearly 300 bows right now and I'm still going. I'm really nervous about this craft show. It's just a mind game of "what if no one likes what I've made?? What if there are so many other bow booths that I just drown? What if I've wasted money doing all of this. But, I've never done this before. I just don't know what to expect. If anything, it'll be a good experience, I suppose. Brad has been so supportive and encourages me and assures me that if I want Hannah to wear what I make, then other people will like them too. I have three more weeks. I'm not going to buy anything else, I'm just going to use what I have. We'll see how it goes. I've also been trying to make Preston and Hannah's Halloween costumes in between all of it. They are going to be Pebbles and Bam Bam this year. I think it'll be really cute if I can get the costumes done!
Other than that Brad has been busy with school. I don't know if I mentioned this in any other posts but Brad is in the top 50 in his class, which I think is a major accomplishment! Good for residencies too.
Hannah is growing up super fast and has taken some steps but she's not quite walking yet. She walks on her tippy toes, which makes it hard to balance. She loves to shake her head and dance. She takes a pretty good beating from Preston. She's gonna be a tough girl.
Preston has started talking soooo much more. It's nice that I can understand what he's wanting now. He says such cute things. Brad loves when he says "I did it!" He jumps up and down when he says it. He's started reading books to us and it is so cute. He loves to read these little Winnie the Pooh books. Obviously he's not really reading them but he knows them by heart. He also loves to read "Five little Pumpkins" and he's reading "5 little Monkeys" with Brad right now. He says the "no more monkeys part" He just has the cutest little voice. I got some video of him reading the Pooh books. I tried to post them but it didn't work. I'll try to do it on YouTube tonight. That's about all that's going on right now.

Well, some of you know I'm preparing for a craft show next month. I making hairbows, bracelets and my newest addition...these bow holder frame things. I found these frames at Savers for $2.50 each and made them much cuter. I love the way they turned out. Pictures don't do them justice. I have bows and more bows and I'm really having fun making these. I hope the craft show goes well. If not...Hannah will just have a lot of bows! Ha ha.

Last week I decided to take the kids outside and play in the sprinkler. This is always a difficult task as we don't have any grass!! I hate the rocks but anyway, I made it work. We just put the foam puzzle outside for Hannah to sit on. Preston ended up using the sprinkler like a squirt gun. It was pretty funny. He got himself a few times.

This week has been a rough one. It's Brad's test week. He's been gone a lot. I just keep myself busy with my kids and bows. Preston really misses Daddy a lot. It just breaks my heart! He loves Daddy, that's for sure. We really need a getaway but can't really do much. I'm sure we'll find something to do that's in our budget!! We sure need to do something when he is done on Friday to celebrate a free weekend!!!

I've been looking for weeks for a dresser for Hannah's room. I was looking on craigslist and every time I found one I liked it was already gone!! Well, I stumbled across an estate sale and finally found one I liked. The best part...only twenty bucks!! I looked at 3 stores for the perfect drawer pulls for it and I bought some at Lowe's. I got home and they weren't the right size. Then I decided to use the old ones. They aren't so bad. Anyway, the dresser I got was pretty nice but I wanted it to be white. So, I sanded, painted and sanded some more for an antiqued look and this is how it turned out!

Potty trainin' and talkin'

Well...I decided it was time to start potty training. I think it's gonna be a while. He's not three yet...I guess that's the average age for a boy. He's gone in the potty only because I know when and where he goes to the bathroom. He usually goes into the pantry and shuts the door so every time he does that I RUN! We've made it twice to the toilet. He won't tell me when he has to go. Not a bad start, I guess.
Preston is talking so much lately. A few cute things he's said:
About a month ago I was trying to get the stroller over a curb and I said "geez" because I couldn't get over the curb. Now every time we hit a bump in the car he says "geez!" Then yesterday we hit a bump and he said it then we hit another bump and he said "a na na geez!" Meaning "another geez"
Lately he loves to fall down on purpose and say "whoopsie". Well he started saying "Whoopsie! Me OK" But I started to correct him and now he says "Whoopsie! I'm OK"
He blames everything on Hannah lately. How do they learn that at such a young age? Ha ha. Well, Preston had a bowl of popcorn and he backed up into it and spilled it and started freaking out saying "Momma! Hannah! Pacorn!" Hannah was in bed. Enough said.
I love the way he says Elmo "Melmo"
One day we were out playing in the hose and I had just turned it off and he came up to me and said "A wa wa boke" meaning "The water broke."
He repeats a lot now. It's so cute.

I am so behind on blogging and I have so much to blog about!
This was on Pioneer Day. We went to This Is the Place Park with my parents and Sam and Piper. It was a lot of fun. We felt bad because Piper is extremely allergic to animals so they sat inside most of the day. None of us even thought about it. I've never been there before so I didn't know. My mom bought Hannah the cutest little pioneer bonnet and got Preston a cowboy hat but he would have nothing to do with it. What a weirdo! Someday he'll love it I'm sure. He loves his cowboy boots but just doesn't realize he needs the hat to complete his look. Someday he will. Preston loved the petting zoo. I thought he would be scared of the animals but he loved being able to go up and touch them. I was surprised.

I cannot believe Hannah is ONE! My tiny little baby girl is growing up so fast. She enjoyed her birthday party a lot. I made butterfly, lady bug and flower cupcakes. She has a ladybug room so we always associate ladybugs with her. I spent over four hours on these creations!

As you can see she was a little confused why everyone was singing and looking at her. But she quite enjoyed the cake! If you know Hannah, she enjoys ANY food! She's a good little eater. Grandma and Grandpa Wang got her a cute chair. Now Preston and Hannah don't have to fight over Preston's chair. I love the polka dots.

Brad started school on Wednesday. I'm a little sad the summer is over. It was so nice to have him around all the time. I know he loves school and he's going to make the best doctor. It's a little hard on us but it makes us tough! We miss him everyday. He is such a good Daddy. I'm so glad to have him in my life. I couldn't see myself happier...well maybe when med school is over!! Ha ha ha.
I've been dying to do some home decorating. I really want to paint and get creative. I love doing that kind of stuff. I've been wanting to paint an accent wall for quite some time. I think it would look really cute. We'll see. I'm also looking for an old dresser to fix up for Hannah's room. Just a project for fun. She needs a dresser really bad. I have some red paint I would love to use to paint it to match her cute ladybug room. I just have to find a good one. Not an easy task.
Well, that's what's been going on. Huge post but much needed. Everytime I get on the computer Preston wants to use it to play a game. He loves fisherprice.com. It has games on it for toddlers. He thinks it's so cool. So, I haven't been able to do much on the computer until they take a nap.

So, I'm up and running on etsy.com!! I've been making hairbows and bracelets for Hannah and I'm starting to get really good at it. So, I decided to try to sell them. It's hard not to want to keep everything for Hannah but she's got PLENTY, believe me! These pics are just a sampling! Go here to view some more. I will be adding more daily. If anyone has done this and might have some tips for me, please let me know! I'm open to suggestions. I'm new at this. I haven't posted any bracelets yet. But, I will soon. I took Preston this time to get his updated pictures. He absolutely LOVES his cowboy boots so I thought that would be perfect for his picture. I borrowed a hat and rifle from a friend and well, you can see for yourself it turned out adorable. I don't have the other ones yet. I'll post them when they email them to me.
He was so cute too. I kept telling him all day if he was good for his picture I'll get him a treat. He kept saying "OK" every time I reminded him. So when we got there he held my hand as we went back he walked in, sat down and smiled!! Wow! That's a first. We took maybe 20 pictures and he said "all done" and he was DONE! I wanted to get a few more but he was so good for the first few we didn't really need to. This was like the first picture they shot. So, I got him some chocolate because he really was good!!!
Preston is getting so big too. It's sad when they grow up but it's fun too. He can say all of the letters. He just can't say "W". He just looks at us when we get to that one. He gets "k" and "x" mixed up too. We're working on the numbers. Every time I ask him how old he is, he says "three". Ha ha. Not yet pal! He's pretty good at colors too. I really have the cutest kids!

First of all, is she cute or what?? I got her one year pictures done a couple weeks early. She was so busy it was hard to get a good shot. Unfortunately, I couldn't afford to buy all the pics so we get them with "zazzle" written across them and they're small, but you get the idea.
She is growing up so fast. I cannot believe she is almost one!!!! She is now walking with a push toy. She could start walking very soon!! She is into everything. In fact, as we speak all the books are pulled off the shelf. It's so cute how curious she is.
This happened a few weeks ago, right after we got home from Disney. Preston never did this. I'm not sure how Hannah got that diaper off! Isn't she too little to do that? The pics say it all. No need to explain...what a mess!!!

So yeah, she's fun AND cute even if she does that!!!

Yes, we let Preston hold a sparkler. He wasn't sure what he thought about it. I think it scared him a little. It was a pretty fun day. I had fun dressing the kids up in the outfits Brad's mom sent them. They looked so cute! I had to make matching bows and a bracelet, of course. I just used the scraps I had and they turned out pretty cute.
We started the day going to our ward's pancake dinner. Then we went to Boulder City to catch the parade. It was unlike anything we've ever seen before. It was pretty much a big water fight. Everyone was throwing water balloons at the people in the parade and they were throwing things back and had big squirt guns and stuff. Silly string everywhere too. It was kinda fun to watch but we stood back. We didn't think the kids would like it.
Then we had our friends over for a bbq, which was fun. We did a few firecrackers that scared the kids to death! Hannah looked like she was having a seizure because she would jump at every little pop. That ended that.
Then we went to see fireworks. It was the shortest firework show I've ever seen. But, after they ended we all played on the blanket and had some good family time. Preston liked the fireworks, so did Hannah. They weren't so loud. We were sitting far away but just close enough. I love spending time with my cute little fam. I especially love when Brad is with us!! Only another month before school starts. :(

DISNEYLAND!

We had a BLAST at Disneyland this week. We left EARLY Monday morning to get there early and get our money's worth. The kids were soooo tired but they were so good considering. Preston rode the flying Dumbos for his very first ride. He had such a straight face but you could tell he was having fun.
Before we got through to the park they had a little show with Mickey in front of the castle. Preston got to give Mickey a high-five and I was videotaping the whole thing with tears in my eyes. I got so choked up.

We thought Preston would be afraid of Mickey. While waiting to see Mickey there were these carrots in a garden that a rabbit was eating and the carrots would pop down into the ground as the rabbit ate them. THAT freaked him out! He was hiding behind Brad like in this picture. It was so funny!

FINALLY after waiting for what seemed like forever we got to Mickey. My dad has some really cute pictures of Preston blowing kisses and giving Mickey five. He LOVED meeting the characters. Especially Mickey, his favorite.

This is what Preston looked like on all the rides. Never a smile just a blank stare. So much to take in, I guess. Everytime we got off a ride he would say "a na na choo choo" translating to "another choo choo". All the rides were "choo's choo's".

Happy birthday to me! This was me and Brad on my birthday. Talk about the best 30th birthday ever...where you feel like a kid again.

We ate at the Rainforest Cafe for my birthday. Talk about a massive dessert! No, I didn't eat it all myself. I shared it with everyone and we still didn't finish.

DAY THREE! Yeah, we were only supposed to be there for two days. Wednesday morning we were walking around looking at the shops in Downtown Disney, which is a free part, just killing time when we ran into our friends Doug and Joyce. They were going home and still had one more day on their 5 day pass and they gave it to us to use! So, we got to go for another day!!! So fun huh? THANK YOU DOUG AND JOYCE! WE HAD A BLAST!

I couldn't have wished for a better birthday! It was so awesome! I love my parents! It was because of them we got to have this wonderful little vacation. THANK YOU SO MUCH MOM AND DAD! It was so fun. We will always remember this trip. They were so great to help with the kids too and let us do things while one or the other slept etc. THANK YOU AGAIN!
In addition to such a wonderful trip my parents got me a set of red Fiesta dishes. These are special to my family as my mom was the Pottery Festival Queen. These dishes were made in her hometown and I LOVE them. Again, Thank you Mom and Dad!!

Our Utah trip and more

Well, we were in Utah all last week. Brad got to shadow a NICU doctor that took care of Preston when he was born. He LOVED it and I think he's really thinking about being a Neonatologist now. He really enjoyed it. He almost went back even though he was done with his 24 hours.
We went to the zoo on Saturday and that was the only nice day we had. It rained ALL week and we were kinda bummed about that. We love going to visit family and my kids just adore both sets of grandparents. We're so grateful to have them.
On the way back from Utah our tired blew, well, the treads totally just peeled off the tire. It was really weird. Scared us to death it was so loud. It did some pretty good damage to our beautiful new car as well. We also had to buy a new battery while we were in Utah. What a pain. Here are some pics of the damage.

Preston and Hannah looked so cute today I had to try and take pictures of them It's so hard to get a good pic of them together. This was the best I could do. I love Preston in his little ties. This one is my favorite.

We are headed to Disneyland next Monday and I'm soooo excited to see how Preston reacts. My mom is so nice to take us. It'll be a fun family vacation. I just wish my brother, Matt, could come too. It would really be fun.

Brad's birthday. He requested this cheesecake which is soooo stinkin' good! I posted the recipe on my recipe blog if anyone is interested in trying it. It's pretty much better than any cheesecake I've ever had.

Well, I haven't posted in a while. I'm just really enjoying having Brad home. It's so nice. I love having adult conversation...it's been a while.
Brad's birthday was last Monday (the 25th) and we had fun...well, I hope he did. We went shopping and he got some new shoes and some other stuff. There were lots of yummy treats involved. We went to Red Robin to celebrate and had hamburgers. We love their fries there. So yummy. Brad also got a birthday ice cream treat and cheesecake.
These were our last treats. We starting the P90X workout program and diet plan on his birthday (well we worked out Monday but didn't follow the diet). It's so hard to eat healthy! I mean REALLY healthy. We're doing it though. Brad lost 5 lbs and I lost 4 last week. So, it's working. We're going to try to make it through the 90 days. We'll see how it goes. We just want to get into better shape and of course lose a little weight too. We're seeing the results so far.

Grandma and Grandpa Wang came for a visit over the weekend. Preston loves his grandparents. I wish I could explain how he says "Grandpa" or "Grandma" but it's too hard to explain. I'll have to get it on video sometime. We went to the splash park on Monday and Preston and Grandpa had a great time playing in the water. He was a little scared at first but warmed up to the idea of getting wet.
My mom stayed the rest of the week with us. It's been fun to have her. Preston always asks about her in the morning when he gets up. It's so cute. She will go back on Tuesday. My brother Sam, and his wife, Piper are in Arizona and they are picking her up on their way back.
Then we went to Toy's R Us and Preston ended up with a brand new tricycle. He can't quite figure out how to pedal yet but he LOVES his new bike. He kicks and screams if I make him come inside.
Brad is finishing up at school right now, as we speak. He will be done with a long hard first year of med school!!!!!! We're so proud of him and all the hard work he does. The first year is supposed to be the hardest. GOOD WORK BRADLEY! WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH!
I also have to post that last night I put Preston to bed and said "I love you buddy. Night night." and he blew me a kiss. He's never done that before and I loved it! It was so stinkin' cute. I love that boy.
My Mom and I went to the mall today with the kids. Preston was starting to get a little restless and Hannah was trying to play with him. I looked over and he had her finger between his teeth biting as hard as he could! The poor girl was crying so hard she could barely catch her breath. It was so sad. No ice cream for Preston today!! He tried to do it again too but I caught him. Little stinker.

Mickey Mouse

Most of you know that Preston loves Mickey Mouse. I found this pasta the other day and I didn't care how much it was I had to get it! Preston LOVES it. He says "ickey oodles". I made "mick a roni" and cheese with it. He chows it. Preston is growing up so fast! He's putting more words together and just being so cute. He's also going through his terrible twos for sure. He's been throwing a lot of temper tantrums lately...he's still so cute even when he does that!
This other picture was just a cute one of Hannah's smile. I love how she crinkles her nose. SHE is the one growing up!! I miss my little baby but love watching her make new discoveries. She's so funny when other people are eating and she's not. She gets so mad and lets out these huge grunts. Kinda like the one in the video but a little more intense. She LOVES to eat.

We took the kids swimming yesterday. The water is still pretty cold, which I don't get since it doesn't really get cold here. Oh well. They still had fun.
I had to put the pictures of Preston in the boat on here because my little brother, Sam had a canoe that he loved! It reminded me of that. Preston looks a lot like Sam did when he was little. I think you can also see Preston's rash on his tummy in the pictures. We don't know what the heck the rash is from. I took him to the doctor for it yesterday and she seemed to think it was Eczema. I'm not so sure. It looked like an allergic reaction to me. But, she gave us a steroid cream and told us to give him Claritin. If that doesn't work she'll order an allergy test. I couldn't think of anything he had that he hasn't had already that he could be allergic too. I don't know.
I couldn't believe Hannah got in the cold water and had fun. Her little nose was runnin too. She was splashin around having a good ol time though.

This morning I got up early and worked out and showered before the kids got up. As I was getting out of the shower I heard Preston in his room saying "uh oh". I was curious about what he was talking about. When I got into his room he was standing there in all his glory. Yep, he took his diaper off and tried to take his shirt off and he was all stuck in it. I had to laugh. Luckily there were no accidents. I know toddlers do this a lot but I hope it doesn't become a habit with him. we've made it to almost 2 and a half without this happening...until now. I wish I had a picture because the look on his face was so funny.

I have to embarrass Brad for a minute. He went out to sing at a school thing last night and he looked so hot! When he got home I begged him to let me take some pictures. I could tell he didn't really want to but he did for me. Doesn't he look so handsome? I gave him the outfit for Christmas and this was the first time I got to see it. I love it on him. The blue brings out his eyes.
I'm so happy to have him in my life. He brings so much happiness into our home. I don't know what I would do without him. He can make any situation a happy one. I love you honey!

Preston and I had a morning together on Saturday. We went to Toys R Us. They had a Thomas the Train thing there. He colored a Thomas picture and got a few little things. They read a Thomas book to the kids. He was more interested in running around and playing! But, we had fun. Afterwards we went and got pizza at Target. He was pretty excited about that too.

He really liked this bike and video game. He couldn't even reach the peddles but he really liked to sit on it and watch the game demo. I couldn't get him off of it.

Then later on that day we all went to Hoover Dam. We had never been and it's only like 10 minutes away from our place. It was pretty fun.

Well, after a long week we finally picked up our car tonight!!!! The owners had to mail in their payoff and they wanted to wait for the title to come before they passed it to us. Which could've been next week. So, we got the car insured and they let us keep their plates until the title came so we could register it. We LOVE it! It's so perfect for us. I can't believe it's April and it's 95 degrees today! The kids and I ventured out to the pool and the water was a little cold but it wasn't too bad. We sat on the steps and played. This is the most recent picture of Hannah bug. She's getting so big. This is her easter outfit. I especially love the shoes. I got her dress at Gymboree a couple months ago for only $4!! I love bargain shopping!!
Preston, Hannah and I all went to the pet store on Saturday and came back with two fish. We borrowed a fishbowl and the fish are only .12 cents so what the heck. Preston hugged the bag the whole way home saying "fishie" over and over again. It made his day. He loves to look at them and feed them.

This post is dedicated to my little buddy, Preston! I absolutely LOVE everything about him. He is so cute and tiny and funny and sweet. He keeps us all laughing. His smile would melt anyone's heart. He just lights up a room with it. See for yourself. These are only highlights of his cuteness.

These are size 12 months if that gives you any idea how tiny he is. I love it. His shorts were so big but I was too lazy to change them AND the waist was folded over. What a peanut!

This is a post dedicated to my little Hannah bug! I absolutely LOVE this girl! She is always pulling the cutest faces. She's always got her tongue out and making me laugh. She always smiles when she sees me.
I was in the mood to take pictures today. I'm really missing my photography jobs. She's the perfect model. I love shooting in black and white and although there are no fancy backrounds or anything I still think they turned out way cute. So, here ya go, the many faces of Hannah.

Well...I was the first one in the door at Walgreens this morning. I ended up getting $106.8 worth of diapers for $36.48. I got eight packs. Nice huh? Gosh, I love it!
I haven't blogged in a while. I have been way busy. I was in Utah for a week. My Grandma came to visit. She had never met my kids before. So, that was fun. Very busy, but fun.
When we got home Hannah and I had colds and then I got a little 24 hour flu. YUCK. Luckily no one else got the flu in our house but half of Brad's family had it.
My kids are getting so big. Hannah has grown so much lately. She eats so much and gets SO excited when she sees a bowl of baby food headed her way. She kicks and squeals. I love it.
Preston is the typical two year old...into everything. Everyday is a new adventure with him. Church is always a challenge. He constantly wants out of my lap to run up to Brad who is playing the organ. I have to bring M&M's to occupy him. It's so cute how much he loves his Daddy.

Preston was having a great day today. He played the piano a bit...does it just crack you up that he is using his toy piano stool? Ha ha. We did some sidewalk chalk in the backyard. Then we went to the park and all is well until....dun dun dun...Preston fell on the steps going up to the slide and I ran to pick him up and when I did...dun dun dun...he had poop on his hands and was covered in short white hair. Pretty sure it was a freakin cat that left his little droppings. The hair was on the slide. I was so grossed out that I wiped him EVERYWHERE with an antibacterial wet wipe that I keep with me at all times. Pretty glad I had them. Hannah enjoyed everything from the stroller. She was just squealing and having a good ol time.
While we're on the subject...we have a neighborhood cat who thinks the rocks in our backyard is it's litter box. I'm not kidding you, we have so much poop in our backyard it's not even funny. I don't know what to do. I know whose cat it is. Some say I should call animal control, some say I should talk to her. But, in reality, if it's an outdoor cat how can they stop it?? What would you do? Preston wants to play back there all the time and I honestly can't stand the fact that it's there and my son wants to play. It could make him so sick if he got into it. I've just about had it. I've chased it out several times but there is so much back there...ugh. I'm open to advice. Help!

Children's Museum and Doggies

Preston has been on a doggie kick lately. Last night we watched 101 Dalmations and he kept pointing and saying "Doggie". He then found every doggie in the house and I found him a little more. He had 10 total. He lined them all up and was so excited about having his own doggies.

We went to the Children's museum yesterday with Preston's little friend, Hayden. They had so much fun!
This was Preston's favorite part. You could put the ball in and the air would carry it up the tube. He would go "woooooooooooooo" and watch it go up and run and get another one. He was amazed!

So, I saw these cowboy boots at Walmart around Christmas time and I reeeeaaaalllly wanted to get them but didn't want to spend the money. Well, I found them on clearance for 5 bucks and pretty much I couldn't resist. His favorite part is taking them off so I can put them back on again. He does this with all shoes but these are really easy to slip off his little feet.

Hannah is officially sitting all by herself. I can't believe she's six months old now. Time really flies. She's also got some really wicked bedhead as shown.
Preston continues to LOVE his sunglasses. He walks around putting them on and taking them off over and over. I have to take them away sometimes so he'll wear his real glasses.
In these pictures he's showing me how old he is and how big he is. Gosh I love that kid.

I thought this was worth blogging about. Preston fingerpainted for the first time yesterday and he had a blast. He didn't want to stop. He got so mad when I took him off the chair! It was funny though, he kept wanting me to wipe his hands off and then he would keep going. It just got messier and messier but he sure had fun with it.

Well, some of you may remember a long time ago a post about a headboard that I made. Well, I re-did it. I liked the other one but it wasn't exactly what I had pictured. So, I found a flannel sheet set on clearance for $7.50 that I thought would look good. It kinda has a micro suede effect. I LOVE it now. Glad I did it.

Preston's new words

Preston suprises me with a new word almost everyday. His favorite right now is "Ready, set, go!" He says "gi gi goooooo". I love it. He also says ball, more, 123, please, choo choo, doggie, bye bye, love you, whoops, Mickey, wow, yeah, go, hello and hi, hot, all fall down, grandpa, (sometimes he says grandma but they sound kinda the same) That's all I can think of right now. I'm sure there's more. He brings me my phone and says "grandpa" a lot. He likes to call grandpa, I guess. Whenever he hears my dad's ringtone he says "grandpa". It is so fun to hear all his new words. He's really talking a lot these days.
Hannah isn't feeling well. She has a little fever and whines all the time. I feel so bad for her. I swear I held her all day yesterday. She wouldn't let me put her down. She cried a lot. Luckily she's keeping her food down. She just has a little fever. I thought she might be teething but there's no sign of any teeth yet.
It's been so warm and we're loving it. It's cloudy today and a lot cooler. It's supposed to rain for a few days. That's rare.

Milestones

For all of my family that thought Hannah would never roll over...SHE DID! TWICE yesterday!! Ha ha ha. She's thinning out...well, a little. The doctor seems to think she's pretty chubby and pretty short. But, I don't care. I think she's cute!! So here's what's been going on this week.
There is a neighborhood right next to ours that has a park. It's gated but I got the gate code and we've been there a lot this week. Preston LOVES it. He has gotten so brave on the slide. He can climb up all by himself and he says "eeeeeeee" or "oooooooo" when he goes down. He pretty much loves the park. What kid doesn't? Here are a bunch of shots in action.
I also took another picture of the kids together to see how much closer in size they are getting. They are really starting to look a lot more like each other.
Preston has been sitting up to the table lately and he really feels like a big boy.
Hannah loves to swing too.
Brad has a test tomorrow and he's been studying a lot. We usually see him a little more on Saturdays but he studied longer.
I'm trying to get used to my new calling. I have no idea what I'm supposed to be doing most of the time. I'll figure it out I'm sure. I'm supposed to oversee the scouts, I guess. I don't know much about the scouting program.
Preston started singing yesterday. We were watching Handy Manny (one of his favorites) and he started singing right along with the song. Of course the words weren't exactly right but he was totally singing with it. Then today he started singing the ABC song with one of his toys. He surprises us everyday with the things he does.

This picture turned out a little blurry but I thought it was so cute. Preston LOVES to put his shoes on lately. He was runnin around with his diaper and shoes. It was so cute. He loves his new chair too.

We're so proud of Preston!! We finally got him off the binkie. It was a rough road for him. He LOVED his binkie and wouldn't sleep without. He wandered around for a few days saying "ki ki". He's gotten over it and will now sleep without it. He hasn't had it all week!! YAY BUDDY!
I got a new calling last week. I got called into the primary presidency. I'm first counselor. I'm excited about it, I think it should be very fun.
Brad was excited today because they got to cut open the skull on his cadaver and they're disecting the brain. Eeeew. That's why he's becoming the doctor and not me!!
This is our favorite time of year as far as TV goes. We LOVE 24, American Idol and Lost. We're pretty glad we have a DVR to record them all so we can watch them when Brad gets home at night! We have a hard time staying awake though.

Does anyone watch this show on Disney Channel? I cringe when I hear it come on. I think it is the most obnoxious show on Disney!!! The little girl says "Charlie" after everything she says and they talk with an accent and have the most annoying voices. AAH! It will not play on my TV. Anyone else agree?

I've made a New Years resolution to eat healthier and lose some more weight. I ended up losing a total of 12 lbs in 30 days which is a major feat for me!! I'm still goin. Can't stop. I'm feeling so good but I've gotta be ready for swimsuit season!! If anyone has any health recipes send them my way!!

This was so cute. I gave Hannah cereal last night and she was quite enjoying it!! She was sound asleep mid bite. I even took her bib off and wiped her face and she was still out! Nice and full and happy.

So, My brother, his wife, Piper and their two friends Holly and Ashley stayed at our house on Friday night on their way down to Arizona for a wedding. They left at around 4:30 p.m. the next morning and they made it around the block!! So, I've had company for the weekend and it'.s been kinda fun. I guess something is wrong with the transmission and because it's a 2006 it's still under warranty. So, we don't know how long it will take because they have to order parts and they were closed today. It's fun to spend time with Sam and Piper. Even when we go to Utah they have to work and stuff and I don't end up seeing them much.
