Happy Thanksgiving!

We have many many things to be grateful for this Thanksgiving. Mostly the gospel and the knowledge of Eternal familes. Our lesson in Relief Society was on gratitude. Made me appreciate a lot more. I'm so glad our Father in Heaven gives us trials. I feel like Preston being born so early was a blessing in our lives. It made Brad and I closer. Made us closer to our families and to many friends that supported us through carepages. And of course it made us appreciate our little boy so much more.
Preston enjoyed his first Thanksgiving. He wasn't sure what to do with that big turkey leg but my parents have one of me when I was this age holding a big fat turkey leg and my mom thought it would be cute to get one with Preston. Well...it was too heavy for him to hold! So, we just sat it in front of him.
Preston has been pretty cranky lately. I think he might be teething. He was sleeping through the night and now he gets up a lot and cries a lot. I just don't see anything coming through or any other signs of teeth coming in. I just wish there was something I could do to make the little guy happy. He used to be so smiley! He still is but he just cries a lot!! We go see our pediatrician this week so I'll ask him.
Preston also picks up his new helmet this week. We just couldn't get the last one to fit right so he's getting a different one from a new place.
We got him up early on the day after Thanksgiving and took him shopping. Brad just couldn't pass up the deals on all those DVDs! Of course we got gifts as well. That was fun but we were tired after getting up at 4:15 AM!! Brad is sure it was worth every minute of lost sleep.

Fall

Preston is growing up so fast! I can hardly believe he's going to be one next month!! WOWEE! He's going to have a pretty fun birthday party!

He's figuring out that he can put one foot in front of the other. He loves to walk around with me. I think it'll be a while before he really walks on his own, however. He's little feet are just so small. I don't know, he might surprise us.
I tried so hard to get him to smile here. I had toys out there and was making all kinds of funny noises. Then, a neighbor walks by and he looks up and smiles! What a stinker! Just having fun in the leaves.
Oh and this is his helmet! He's had a flat head for a while so we opted to go for the helmet to help him out. It's helping a lot. His head is getting lots better. It's a little frustrating to get the helmet to fit right. It just keeps falling down into his eyes. We're going back today to see what they can do to help it. He got up 3 times last night and wouldn't eat. He was just frustrated with the helmet being in his eyes and I was sure frustrated myself having to get up! I'm so tired today!
