Lazy Sunday

Brad and I are loving having 11:00 church. Our last ward started at 2 and by the time we got home we felt like we ate and went to bed. It is so weird to go to church and not have any duties in the Relief Society. Sometimes I feel like I should be running around trying to get things ready for a lesson or announcements or something. I do miss my calling and I miss my old ward! I'm looking forward to getting to know some of the ladies here. I've already made a couple friends. This ward is so big it's hard to get to know people. There are over 600 people in this ward. It's pretty crazy.
We came home today, fed the kids and got them both down for a nap and Brad and I were able to take almost a 2 hour nap ourselves. It was so great!!

Preston helping by feeding his little sister.

Preston loves eating with utensils. I was amazed that I got him to eat spaghetti. He is a really picky eater.

I'm trying to decide if Hannah's hair is gonna be curly. it looks like this when she gets out of the bath.

Pretty good day

I got so sick of carrying Preston away from the DVD and DVR and telling him no and him not listening so I taped a piece of cardboard in front of them. He is such a little button pusher!
I read online that a good activity to do with a toddler is to fill a bowl with dry beans and let them touch it and scoop it up. Well, it entertained him for about an hour. It was crazy how much he liked it!

I don't know what I would do without my double stroller. It is such a nice luxury! Preston loves going for rides. He always pokes at his sister though. She doesn't like that very much.

My little stud

Oh how I love my little handsome Preston. I just wish I knew what was bothering him. He pretty much whines all day and he's normally such a happy kid! I did everything today to make him happy and nothing seemed to work. I really think part of it is he misses his daddy. He's probably bored with his mommy. I built a fort, let him play on the computer, gave him M&M's, went to the mall and walked around with him and Hannah, watched his favorite movie...nothing really made him happy. :(
Brad seems to be doing pretty well in school. We miss him a lot but we're proud of him and support him all the way!
I am keeping busy with Hannah and Preston, laundry, dishes and all the fun stuff. It's amazing how having one more child makes the laundry load so much bigger! Brad was such a big help with all the "mommy duties" while I was pregnant. It's weird to be doing it all myself! Ha ha. I really do have a great husband!

Like brother like sister

I had to take a picture of Hannah like this because I remembered I had one of Preston that was just like it. So cute. I think they look a lot alike here.
So, does anyone have any suggestions of things to do with a toddler at home?? I think preston is getting bored. I know he wants to go outside but I just can't bring myself to want to go out when it's over 100 degrees! I would love to take him to the zoo or something but I'm going to wait until it's not so hot for my babies AND for me. I made him some play dough today. He thought it was cool for a few minutes but he's still too small to appreciate it, I think. He doesn't seem interested in his toys or books. He goes to the door and wants out all the time. I take them for little walks around the block and then he gets mad when we come back in. Anyway, I just need some fresh ideas.
Can I get some beauty sleep please?
