movie star look alike?

Ever since Preston got his glasses everyone everywhere tells us he looks like the little boy in Jerry McGuire. Neither of us had seen the movie but we knew exactly who the cute little guy was. Brad had to check it out for himself!! What do you think??

The doctor

Well...last night I kinda had a freakout moment. I had to go in to the doctor's today on an empty stomach, which is not easy for a pregnant woman to do! They thought there was a chance of me having gestational diabetes, which I wasn't thrilled about either. So, they did the test and no sugar showed up in my urine sample. I was so relieved! The nurse asked me to wait and see what the doctor said before I ate anything. AH! Come to find out that my doctor ended up having an emergency C-Section. So...I had to wait!! We're sitting there waiting and waiting. They kept calling names to come back but none of them were mine! Anyway, I didn't eat until almost 11 and I was seriously ready to die!! But, it was OK because everything is still going extremely well with this pregnancy. Everything is normal, including my blood pressure! Perfect! Besides gaining weight that I don't want to gain...all is well!! :)
I had to post this picture. Preston was totally out in his crib with his little leggies up on the side. It was pretty funny.

Oreo Strawberry recipe

Per request this is the recipe for the oreo strawberries in the picture. There isn't much to it. You just crush oreos, I like them still a little chunky, not real fine powder. Then you dip the strawberry in chocolate and then roll them in the oreos. Place them on wax paper and wait until set. They are best when served within 24 hours. The trick to these is to make sure the strawberry is completely dry or the strawberry gets a little soggy! Enjoy!

Easter

This is Preston and his cousin Brynnly on Easter at Grandma and Grandpa Clark's house. They both looked so cute in their Easter outfits.
Brad's mom asked me to bring chocolate covered strawberries and I got a little carried away. Has anyone ever had chocolate strawberries dipped in crushed oreo? If you haven't had them, I highly recommend trying them. They are to die for. I made so many strawberries, I was just having so much fun! Brad had to take a picture because he said they looked so beautiful.

Med school

Brad got into Touro University in Henderson Nevada. I knew he would. So, we may end up there. Who knows, we shall see. We had some friends over last night to watch our favorite show, 24!! Brad watched 4 episodes with them. I went to bed after one. I get too sick if I stay up too late. We've seen all the seasons but we got our friends into it and of course we had to show off our new TV!

Our winnings

Here is Brad with our new TV!!! It's our dream come true to have a bigger TV and now we have one for the bedroom. Life couldn't get any better according to Brad!!!

Preston's spring pics

We thought you all would enjoy these pictures we got taken of Preston. He is always so good and smiley for his photo shoots. He's probably used to it because his mommy takes a lot of pictures.

WE WON!

How many contests do we all enter and wish we could actually win something?!?!? Brad and I entered RC Willey's Greenbook Sweepstakes to win a TV and we actually won!! We won a 37" flat panel LCD HDTV!! Brad was so excited. He said it was the best day of his life! We went in today to sign a tax form and to pay the taxes on it, which only amounted to $72.00, and we go pick it up tomorrow! So, it is possible to win something afterall!

glasses

Preston got his glasses today. Doesn't he look cute? He doesn't keep them on for very long right now. He's just so curious about what is on his face. He should get used to them though...we hope!

Our little stud man

We took this picture on Sunday. He just looked so stinkin cute with his hair all spikey and in his little tie. Gosh, I love it! We picked out Preston's glasses on Monday. He'll get them next week. He looked so cute. Brad's interview went well. He has another one and then he'll make the decision between the two. It sure is expensive to go to med school! Sheesh! I got pretty sick on the trip to Nevada. A really bad cold/being pregnant don't really mix well. I'm hangin in there though.

HELMET FREE!!!!

Preston had a helmet appointment today and he is FINALLY done with it! I'm sure it feels so good to have it off his little head. He had an eye exam this morning as well and he is very near sighted. He had R.O.P. (Retinopathy of Prematurity) when he was at the NICU and they did laser eye surgery then but his eyes are still pretty bad. It's weird too because he seems like he can see pretty well. He always spots out little tiny things on the floor. So, we go to a different eye doctor on Monday and we'll probably pick out his glasses then.

Our little buddy

it's a girl?!?

Well...my doctor couldn't hear the heartbeat by doing the sonogram today so they decided to do an ultrasound to make sure. Everything is fine. My uterus is just tilted backward, which, I guess is no big deal. I asked her if she could tell if it was a boy or girl yet (I'm 15 weeks now) She said she's pretty sure it's a girl but she didn't want to tell me for sure yet. I was so excited though! She couldn't do a long ultrasound because it was just to check the heartbeat. But, she took a picture for me to take home and show Brad. I have been pretty sure it was a girl through the whole thing because of how different this pregnancy has been.
Everything else is going well so far. My blood pressure was good this time and all seems to be going normally...thank goodness!
Preston is getting so big. He gets around so well and pulls himself up onto anything and everything. He's such a hyper child. It's pretty funny. We sure love that little guy and we're excited for him to have a little sister (hopefully).
Brad has a med school interview on Tuesday in Henderson, Nevada. He has another one in Arizona in May. So far, those are the only two options. I'm kinda hoping for Nevada because it's closer to family. I'm pretty excited to move. I think it'll be a fun, non permanent adventure.
