Baby shower!!!!

YAY! I finally got some girly stuff!!! Yesterday my mom threw me a baby shower. We don't really have any family around so it was mostly friends from the ward and my mission. It was so much fun to actually get some girl clothes and blankies and such! I have such great friends! I was so excited to show Brad everything we got. Then I came home and packed it all away in a box! Yeah, we started to pack...blah! I think packing is the worst part of moving but it's always fun to put things away in a new house. I'm excited about that part but the packing part is just boring and tiring on my old bones.
Our Sister in law, Angie, had her baby yesterday. She was overdue and very ready for that little guy to be out. His name is Nathan Michael Clark weighing in at 7 lbs 3 oz. We can't figure out who he looks like. Brad's mom thinks he looks like her side. We'll see when he gets a little older. This is the tenth grandchild for Brad's Mom and Dad. That's big! Our little one will be number eleven!!!
Brad and I are still in disagreement about the name. Both of our Mom's have started calling her Hannah. That's their vote, as well as mine. I'm not sure if he really doesn't like the name or he's just trying to be difficult. :)

Our new place!!

It's a go! We've got the townhome we applied for and I am super duper excited! We are planning on moving on July 10th! Just a little over 2 weeks! It's gonna go by so fast!! It's a little scary and exciting all at the same time. We are sad we're gonna miss family things and Preston will sure miss his grandparents!! But, we know it will pay off in the end!

Ok, we can't get it to work right. Just copy and paste this address and it will take you right to the pics! We're idiots!

My birthday!

Yesterday was my birthday! It was fun. I went to see my Sister-in-law, Devery, and she gave me a birthday manicure and pedicure, we went to Red Robin to eat and then had a little party with my family. Later on we had so much chocolate cake (which was heavenly and YES of course I ate some even though it raised my blood sugar a bit!!) we invited some friends from our ward over to help eat it!
I got a new set of Kitchenaid pots and pans which are so nice and much, MUCH needed!! Brad stayed up late the night before and cleaned up everything and decorated and went and got me flowers! I have such a good hubby! He LOVES birthdays and he remembers everyone's!
Preston had a good time too except he didn't like the balloons. You can see the look of distress on his face sitting there in the one picture. At one point he screamed and jumped. Brad and I were cracking up but he didn't think it was very funny!
Don't mind my fatness in the picture...I'm 7 months pregnant OK???

Welcome home Dave!

Brad's youngest brother came home from Canada on Saturday. He met Preston and Brynnly for the first time! It was a lot of fun to see him. I know it's hard to transition back to not being a missionary but I think he'll do just fine!

Back from Nevada

Ok so this week has been interesting, fun, hot and tiring all at the same time. We drove down to Henderson on Wednesday. We stayed with some friends I knew from Ohio, the Scholers. They were so nice to take such good care of us while we were there. Then, Thursday morning we had an appointment with a realtor named Wally whom we had set up an appointment earlier that week to see 7 properties which soon became 2 properties. He turned out to be "a real piece of work" as Brad would say. He didn't know where he was going when he took us around and he didn't do his research on the properties. Some were in foreclosure, some still had tenants...it was just a mess and a waste of time. The two we went to see we hated and weren't really the ones we wanted to see. Later that night we did see a property that we absolutely loved. It's one I've had my eyes on for a little while. We found it online.
Friday we drove around to some other places on our own and then met with a different realtor, Debbie, who was so helpful and showed us five places. We liked a few she showed us but didn't LOVE them. Later on we looked at one that was the exact same layout as the one we liked on Thursday. Another one that we found online. We LOVED this one but it turns out it was in a bad neighborhood so we are going for the one we liked on Thursday.
We looked at one in the same neighborhood on Saturday morning that will be our second choice. Different layout, but same neighborhood.
Now we have to do all our apps by fax and phone and we want to do it fast to make sure we get the one we want. It's really nice. Lots of storage and a two car garage! Whoo! Our own master bathroom and it had 2.5 baths total! A actual laundry room and a walk in pantry...heaven!!! Pray that we get it!

so big!

Preston has really grown a lot lately. He just gets cuter everyday! I just love this toothy grin of his! Lately he gives us some really big cheesers! It just makes us laugh.

updated photo page

I took some pictures last night of my friend Alisha and her family. They turned out cute! You can look at a few of them on my photo blog!
Yesterday I had the sickest day! I was throwing up and didn't even shower until 4 p.m. Sure wish I had normal pregnancies! At least I'm in the 3rd trimester now. That gives me something to look forward to and to remember it's all worth it. It's hard to remember that sometimes!
I failed to mention that we had a birthday bbq for Brad a week ago yesterday. It was so fun to be with family and friends. We're sure going to miss all of you when we move! Just know you can come visit anytime!! No guarantees you'll see Brad very much tho! HA HA.
Brad's parents just picked up Brad's youngest brother, Dave, from his mission in Halifax, Cananda. They will be spending the week with him there in Canada and will be back Saturday. We can't wait for Dave to meet Preston! We're sure he'll become the favorite nephew of Dave! Wink wink.
I am being released as RS President today. I have mixed feelings about it, but mostly relief! It's just good timing to be released with all that's going on. But, I do love the calling and all the sisters in my ward. I hope to keep in touch with them.

Baby update

So...today was interesting. I met with a dietician and a nurse about my diabetes. My blood sugar was down a lot, which is good. They've got me on a pretty strict diet and it's gonna be really hard. I'll manage. Brad's a good help and support. I have to test my blood sugar 6 times a day. If it's not what it's supposed to be next week I may have to take medication. The nurse said that if the baby was to come early (which happens a lot with diabetes) it would probably be between 30-35 weeks.
I also met with the perinatalogist. A little concern about the diabetes and my blood pressure was up just a little but not too bad. Baby Hannah (I have to convince Brad on that name but I'm pretty convinced) is doing well. She weighs about 2 lbs 12 oz which seems so huge! LOL. Heartrate is good. It's fun to have an ultrasound every month and see her so often. I can't wait to hold her and kiss her.
