contractions?

So, today I started having contractions!!! It totally caught me off guard because I have never felt them before. They weren't frequent enough to be labor but they were definitely contractions. I even called the doctor because I didn't know what to do or how many I should be having before I come in etc. I go to see perinatology tomorrow and I'll be able to ask questions then. So weird. Didn't think I would ever feel a contraction because I was scheduled for a c-section.

Cheesecake Factory

Today was the Cheesecake Factory's 30th anniversary. To celebrate they sold cheesecake for $1.50/slice...which if you've ever been there is a steal. Normally it's around $7.00/slice. So, of course we went. Here are some pictures of our Heavenly dessert. Brad got Peanut Butter cup swirl and I got Oreo Mudslide. SOO good. Preston enjoyed himself too as you can see by his big cheeser!!

My little binky boy just loves those binkys. He found all three of them the other day and he carried them around just taking one out and putting another one in. It was pretty funny. He is SO attached to his binky and blankie.

Hannah's birthday

If you notice my baby ticker has gotten smaller in days!! Hannah now has a birthday!!! She will be delivered on August 22nd!! YAY!! We're so excited! I had an appointment today and all is well. She said I'm just barely dialated to a one. So weird that I've made it this far seeing as none of my doctors thought I would go full term. Blood pressure is still good.
Preston seems to be feeling better. He's a lot happier today. Thank goodness. Brad starts school a week from today. It'll be weird not to have him around so much. We've enjoyed spending time together. We watch a movie just about every day. It's great to just chill.

My poor baby

Preston has been pretty fussy lately. We weren't sure why. Yesterday he woke up with a really high fever. Later in the day his fever was up to 103.5. That's when we decided we had better find a pediatrician. We went in and it ends up he has a double ear infection and athletes foot to boot! His feet have been really peely and weird. Anyway, he is really struggling. I hate seeing him not feeling well and crying and so sad. He woke up a couple times last night just crying. He's able to take tylenol and motrin and it's brought the fever down. He's also taking antibiotics and Lotrimin for his little feeties. He is normally such a happy baby. We'll be glad when he's feeling better.

Bloopers

This seems more like a blooper clip instead of Preston really walking. He just thinks it's so funny when he starts to walk and it throws him all off balance. It's really cute to watch though.

It's official...

Her name is Hannah Marie!! I made the wall letters today and I think they turned out so cute!

I just can't wait to have her OUT! I've been sick again today and I just can't wait to feel normal again. I'd definently rather be tired than sick!
I have to post this picture too because it turned out so cute. Preston is just loving the pool!

ABC Book

I just got the alphabet from this website http://theideadoor.com/QuietBook.htm#Gospel_ABCs_Quiet_Book
I used a program called Memory Mixer. It's a scrapbooking program for your computer. It's really easy to use. I got it for Christmas a couple years ago. I think it runs about $80. So, anyway that's how I did it. I'm sure there are other ways. I like Memory Mixer because you can go straight to their website and print the book on there. The books run about $40 with shipping and everything. I haven't printed mine yet though. If any of you are interested. I can use the same book and change a few of the pictures and send you a disk or somethin. That way you don't have to buy the program. I would be more than willing. I would only have to change the mommy and daddy page, family page, eternity page and grandparent page, I think. Let me know if any of you would like to do that. It's fun to make it yourself though, just thought I would offer and save you some money!!

ABC Gospel Book

My friend and old VT, Becca, inspired me to make one of these books. She made one for her little boy and it turned out cute. Well, I finally got motivated enough to actually make it. I actually started on Sunday and just finished...I guess you could say I was overly motivated! Ha ha ha. Here it is.

Summertime and the livin is easy

Man are we enjoying not having anything to do. We've been swimming and loungin and it's great!! Might as well enjoy it while we can. Yesterday we went to Ethel M. Chocolate Factory. It was free and they have a really pretty cactus garden that we went to check out. It was pretty fun. Something to do, I guess.

When we moved into this place they told us we got a free bug spray and he said we should probably do it because roaches are showing up this time of year. Brad found one in our bathroom as well. So, we got it scheduled right away. He came and sprayed and said that if we saw any roaches they should be dying. Well, Brad went into the bathroom yesterday and found a little friend right by the toilet. Needless to say, he WAS dying, still moving, but dying and we were really glad we got the spray!!

Doctor's appointment

Well, I forgot to mention yesterday that I had my first Doctor's appointment here in Nevada. Evidentally this doctor won't let me have a natural birth because I had to have a c-section with Preston. So, we will be scheduling the delivery for the week of August 18th!!! SO SOON! They like to do it a week early...no arguements there! That's for dang sure! I have been sick this whole time and I'm ready to feel like myself again! No more throwing up please!!!
Everything is still going well. My blood pressure is normal, low protein levels, minimal swelling and I'll be 35 weeks on Wednesday. It's been very different for me this time around and thank goodness for that!

day of swimming

Preston loves the pool and it was the perfect day to get in! It was about 107 degrees today!
Then...after a couple hours of shopping we came home and were putting the groceries away and Preston fell on the kitchen floor and got his first goose egg on his head! SAD!!!

Walking??

Ok, so this video is the closest Preston has gotten to walking, but for some reason he isn't very happy about it. Probably because I won't give him the phone. He loves those cell phones. But, he's doing pretty good and getting so close to taking off on his own. Sometimes he'll take a few steps and just start laughing and getting excited and then he'll fall over. It's really cute. So close though huh? We'll post more if we can get it on video. It always happens so fast!

A few fun pics!

Any of you that went to my baby shower and helped out with this cute quilt...here's the final product! It turned out sooooo cute!

My dad painted this ugly yellow wall in the dining room. It looks so much better...thanks dad!

These pics are of Preston's room that we finished yesterday. It looks really cute!

Our day of exploring

It was hard to tell if Preston liked this waterpark. He never cracked a single smile. Brad and I were ready to run through though!

Also during our day of exploring we discovered this house for sale! In the description it said that it was 40,000 square feet! There was this huge gate with a guard's watchtower. It was seriously, I think, the biggest house I have ever seen!!

Almost unpacked

So, we have most of the downstairs unpacked. We've been hanging pictures. We're working on the upstairs now as well. It now feels like home. I'm not sure how Preston is handling it all. He seems to have hit the terrible two's early or something. He just wants to be held all the time and whines all day long. Maybe a tooth? Maybe the adjustment? We just don't know but it's not like him. He's always happier when we take him outside. He's always pointing at the door. We took him out exploring today. We found a really cool park just a few minutes away from our place. It has a little water park for kids that seems pretty fun! Preston is a little scared of it right now but I'm sure by next summer he'll be running around in it and having a good time. The water squirts up from the ground and stuff. They had big squirt guns and other sprinkler type things to run through. We'll have to post the pictures we took. Brad and I thought it was really cool!
It's really weird to not have any commitments like work or church callings. We just hang out at the house. I've been getting a little stir crazy, actually. Brad went to get some ice cream and we're going to play a game. We have no TV yet, which is really weird for us avid TV watchers!!! We've been watching movies though.
Brad talked to a guy from school that just finished his first year and i think that helped a lot. He is an LDS guy with 2 kids and one on the way and he said they got by just fine on the money alloted which made us feel better. He's also going to sell Brad some of his books which will save us money! YEAH! That's about all for now.

We made it!

Well, we are in our new home...so weird but so fun! Our parents drove down with us as well as Brad's brother, David. It was a fairly pleasant trip...Preston is such a good traveler. It was SOOO hot and humid when we got here. We got the truck unloaded and everyone was just dripping in sweat and very stinky.
The only downfall was this morning we woke up and the moving truck (that my parents were driving back to Utah) had been towed. Apparently we weren't allowed to park in a red zone in front of our garage...whoopsie. 385 dollars later we got it back. Yeah, you read that correctly...THREE HUNDRED AND EIGHTY FIVE DOLLARS! What a rip. We're trying to just forget about it and go on.
Preston is really enjoying having more space to crawl around and explore! He is unstoppable that kid! We'll write more later. Just trying to get settled.

Family fun

We've been up in Salt Lake for Brad's family reunion with his Mom's side of the fam. It's been fun but oh so tiring for me. But, we're glad we can spend that time with family before we head out. I wish I could spend a little more time with my family. My brother, Matt, just moved to Idaho for the summer and Sam and his wife Piper work all day. My parents are going down with us as well as Brad's so that will be good.
Mom Clark had a surprise baby shower for me. I thought it was Tuesday. They kept it a good secret. I got some really cute girly clothes and bows...I love getting bows and dresses!! I can't wait to dress her up in them! She is kicking like crazy these days and it's so fun! Yesterday at church I could see her little foot move slowly across my belly! That's something I never experienced with Preston and I'm really enjoying it! I have to say though, I don't want to have this baby early but I will be really happy to feel like myself again. I just never feel all that great. Although some days are better than others. But I will be anxious to have my energy back. I'm gonna be hoppin' with two babies on my hands! I think it's gonna be a huge adjustment for me but I know it'll be all worth it.
It's so hard to believe we only have a couple more days in our little apartment. We are so going to miss our little neighborhood and network of friends, our ward and mostly being so close to family but we know this is the right thing to do for us right now. I will be glad when we get there and get settled and I can enjoy Brad for a few weeks before school starts. It'll be like a little vacation getting settled. We'll keep ya posted!

baby news

I had a doctor's appointment today. 32 weeks and counting and all is well. The baby weighs about 4 lbs 1 oz and her head is measuring 2 weeks ahead! All that means is that she's got a big head. It doesn't cause any problems, I guess. The doctor is very pleased with my progress. I've been able to keep my blood sugar down on just diet and no insulin, which is so great. She seemed to think I will have a normal delivery etc. We're excited about meeting her!
Still packin' and cleanin'. That's about all we do these days. We're off to stay with Brad's mom tomorrow until Sunday for a family reunion. I've been working on a scrapbook for Brad's grandma's 90th birthday. It's got pics of 3 generations of her family. We're excited to give it to her. It's been quite the job getting pictures from everyone, but we pulled it off. It turned out really cute.
