Like brother like sister

I had to take a picture of Hannah like this because I remembered I had one of Preston that was just like it. So cute. I think they look a lot alike here.
So, does anyone have any suggestions of things to do with a toddler at home?? I think preston is getting bored. I know he wants to go outside but I just can't bring myself to want to go out when it's over 100 degrees! I would love to take him to the zoo or something but I'm going to wait until it's not so hot for my babies AND for me. I made him some play dough today. He thought it was cool for a few minutes but he's still too small to appreciate it, I think. He doesn't seem interested in his toys or books. He goes to the door and wants out all the time. I take them for little walks around the block and then he gets mad when we come back in. Anyway, I just need some fresh ideas.
Can I get some beauty sleep please?

Yeah, I know; I have the same problem with Jenna. She loves to be outside, but I'm big and prego and a lot of times I just don't have the energy to do much. Plus, we only have one car, so it's hard. And we're coming up on the rainy season soon, and that will be really hard! Wish I had some ideas, too!

Preston and Hannah do look alike, and I can totally see you in both of them!

Yup, both your kids look like Clarks!! Darling children........And the outside thing is just hard. Makes you want a fenced back yard and covered patio, so that they can play and play and play. When our kids were young, we lived in an apartment with a covered balcony. We put astroturf on the balcony and a BIG sandbox filled with pure white sand. Lisa and James had a ball, rain or shine! We also hung redwood baskets of flowers from the roof....they rested on the balcony railing......so it looked not quite as stark as it could have, especially when everything was in bloom! When we finally got a house, we had a huge covered patio for riding little outside toys around. Fences are good :) I could just leave the door open and let them come and go as they wanted. [A Bit hard to do when it is so hot outside, and you want the AC running....we never had AC, so it didn't matter]

Hey Jen, have you tried a tricycle or little scooter thing. They work ok in a house.

Hey Jenny! I'm from Mesa, and I know my sisters live in the pool all summer! If there is a community pool- take advantage! I also have a sister-in-law who lived in Michigan, and when it was too cold she would take our nephew to the mall an hour before it opened when the doors are unlocked and no one is there, and just let him RUN laps around the mall so he didn't feel so cooped up. I guess it really worked for her, they all felt like they got out and her little guy wore himself out in the morning!

I am already starting to feel this way and Zach isn't even 7 months old yet. Well, I'm no expert but what about a spray water park where Preston could just run around and get wet? Or an aquarium? Or, do you have any children't museums nearby? I recently went to an amazing one where they have stuff for all ages to play with, touch and run around in. I know a lot of moms love those things here during the sweltering dallas summers. Good luck.

Hey... You have such cute babies! I have that problem with my oldest and I like to let him play online at

(long, I know) but they have some good games and all the kids need to do is push a key. Caleb has learned the alphabet pretty well that way. Hope that helps:) Oh yeah... play dough is fun too. I just lock him up with it in the highchair.
Take Care!!
